Besides the charming and cozy style of the cafe, it has pretty cheap and good food! I would have preferred actual fries to the Aldi crisps that they give you with the sandwiches, but that's just a minor complaint. I deducted one star because it is run by a very religious cult however, it does have very cheap food relative to other cafes in Katoomba so that's up to you to decide whether it's worth it.

This is the most 'Katoomba' place in all of Katoomba. If you're visiting form near of far I'd strongly recommend visiting this great place because it really is the embodiment of the area. Delicious, fresh baked bread and produce make for very yummy meals. It looks fantastic, a mix of a bakery, an Irish pub and something from Tolkien. Its great. My one criticism is that perhaps the staff are a little too chilled. I would have ordered more food but they just didn't seem fussed. The food was a little slow to come but when it arrived and the bread looked like it had just come out of the oven all was forgiven. I loved the look of the menu too, it was fun to read and it was almost like a game discovering the different things hidden around on it. I can see though that some may find it confusing. Great vibe and great food. Can't recommend it enough for tourists looking for a taste of Katoomba.

Yellow Deli is a strange cafe indeed. Once inside, it's like you're transported into a Lord of the Rings set (think warm fire place and lots of wooden aesthetics, yes, even in the bathroom).

Just casually walked in this cafe, and my mind was blown...! Haha no kidding. This place is amazing, every corner tells a story (literally). Such a unique place and extra caring staff. One of the best sandwich I've had at this place. Mango smoothie was also legit. I would recommend this place to everyone who are traveling to Blue mountains, do stop by to taste this place. :)

Walked in on a rainy day expecting nothing much of it. What I got was an almost mind blowing experience. It is as if you’re being teleported to a tavern 300 years in the past. The employees and the decor and the music feels incredibly authentic and pleasant. Only after leaving this place I realized it was run by a small community of free spirited folk. Call them a community or a cult or whatnot but blimey— these guys know how to create an experience.
