  I cannot believe I got so screwed over just now. I brought in my $360 Wool Underlay and asked the lady if she could wash it...she said "absolutely" I was over the moon because I had been paying $36 everytime my 4yo peed on it and she was $11 cheaper. I told her that I was worried about her machine though because I had washed it in my washing machine once and the wool had shed quite a lot. While I was telling her this I looked at the tag on the underlay and it said "Dry Clean Only." I told the lady this and she said "no, no, it's fine. I wash mine all the time and it's fine" and assured me she could do it, no problem. When I picked it up it was no longer fluffy. It was hard and lumpy. I brought it back to show her and she claimed she didn't do it. I looked at her shocked, "umm, well, when I brought it in it was fluffy and soft and now it's hard and lumpy." She said "mine is like that too, it's just the type of underlay that it is." And a woman from the back room yelled out "mine is like that too." I asked if maybe that one isn't mine then, maybe mine is somewhere else? She said no, it is mine and it was like that before. She said "I remember you were telling me that you had put it in your washing machine and were worried at the amount of wool that came off. I said to her, "yes, it shed but I did not dry it afterwards and it was still fluffy and soft. I assure you guys it was DEFINITELY not like that before. Needless to say, she did not offer to replace it or pay to try and have the dry cleaners fix it or anything. Great business.
