  Ok. So this is the old homestead chicken. Homestead changed to chicken express. Then they all closed down. On a trip to Katoomba we walked past this chicken shop. I had to see if it was the same recipe. I walked in and said I was having a look for later. The fellow serving, maybe the owner, said it was he hoped the best chicken I would ever taste. He then gave me a free piece to try. I offered to pay but he said no.

  Well, it is homestead chicken and we are having it for dinner. And although I have had better chicken here or there, nothing brings back memories like this. Thanks for the free sample. I hope you make a million bucks because you are a great bloke.

  Loved the chicken. While it is similar to KFC it was very tender & juicy. And not oily at all.
